The Stanford Medicine Abilities Coalition will be composed of residents, fellows, postdocs, clinical and research faculty, and School of Medicine staff. The purpose of the organization is to:
- Foster and advocate for the equal treatment and well-being of all students, trainees, faculty and staff at Stanford Medicine, regardless of their physical or cognitive differences.
- Promote collaboration between people who are passionate about disability at Stanford Medicine.
- Advocate for accessibility, resources and disability services at Stanford Medicine, above and beyond that required by law.
- Promote disability as a part of human diversity, inclusivity, and equity.
Regardless of whether or not you have a disability, all who are interested are welcome to join. This is an initiative throughout the School of Medicine. To learn more, please contact Peter D. Poullos M.D., Clinical Associate Professor.
